We had an awesome group vacation here! We visited spots from our favorite show and enjoyed hanging out in the parlor with a TV. The area is great, and we could hop on a tour that took us to various landmarks. Jack’s hospitality was top-notch, and the breakfast was a nice touch. Everyone was friendly, making it a fun stay.
However, our room was a bit cramped and the noisy a/c didn't help with sleep, especially since it was creaky at night.

would recommend for a short staycation
Charming guest house, delightful breakfast, with ample nearby restaurants and a nice metro access point just a five-minute walk away, making it easy to explore the area.
There is no elevator in the guest house.

Charming historic building experience between residential streets and access to local restaurants. Fantastic breakfast buffet with fresh croissants and whole fruits made mornings delightful, while nearby eateries provided plenty of options for lunch and dinner.
The steep stairs challenge could be tough for those with mobility issues or heavy bags, making entry cumbersome. The compact en suite bathroom limited elbow room, and a larger luggage rack would improve unpacking convenience. Some found the bed comfort inconsistent, so be prepared for potential differing opinions on sleep quality.

A Charming Stay with Personal Touches!
I recently enjoyed a delightful stay during my trip to D.C. The welcoming atmosphere, enhanced by Jack's exceptional hospitality, truly made me feel at home, from the generous breakfast spread to the cozy communal areas. The location was also fantastic, with easy access to nearby metro stations and charming local restaurants. The only downside was that my room felt a bit snug for my liking.

I had a lovely breakfast each morning, everything was well-cooked and just what I needed to start my day right.
It wasn't exactly economical, but given the experience, it felt worth it.

Hosts here are welcoming and helpful, creating a charming atmosphere. The location is fantastic, just steps from the metro and nearby restaurants. However, the room was a bit noisy, and the mattress was harder than expected, which detracted from an otherwise pleasant stay.

would definitely come back
The breakfast featured a spread of warm dishes like eggs and bacon. Freshly baked croissants. My room had air conditioning, a private bathroom with shower, and a comfy desk area. The common lounge added a cozy vibe. The neighborhood felt safe and welcoming, and the host was super attentive, providing excellent tips for my stay.

The room was cozy, with a nice little nook for hanging clothes. The bed felt different for each of us—one comfy and the other a bit off. A luggage rack or some drawers would’ve been handy, but overall, it was clean and kept at a good temperature. The bathroom was modern but compact. Plenty of towels, though they might need an upgrade soon.

The breakfast at Kalorama was a delightful spread! Fresh, high-quality ingredients made for a fantastic start each day. Also, nearby eateries were a major win. Frozenyo's froyo was a refreshing treat after walking around. Plus, Jack's hospitality really made us feel at home.
But let’s keep it real. the common lounge TV was broken—like, why? And while the room was snug, it just added to that cozy vibe, right? All good in the end!
